Take four patio chairs, a roll of black plastic mesh, some thick plastic sheeting and one old box fan, and what do you have? A funky, home-made greenhouse to protect out little Lemon Verbena plants from the continuing heavy rains in north Texas this week. It's working!
So far, they are safe from the thunderstorms and flooding. The black plastic crates, placed upside down come in handy to keep them 12" up off the ground, too.
The plants in 4" pots are stressed from lack of sunshine, but growing well since they've been trimmed and fed Garrett Juice Plus.

The set-up is not too scenic, but hey, it's working for us now!
