When we visited my 92-year-old dad and his wife in Mesa, Arizona this holiday season he harvested oranges growing on a little tree next door. The fruit wasn't great, but the dried orange peels are excellent!
I peeled the oranges, dried the peels naturally for a few days, then ground them in my "new" vintage nut grinder, another treasure from our antique mall adventure in Mesa.
Right now my Lemon Verbena/Orange Peel tea is steeping. I see it for sale online, but I made my own mixture from our plants & my dad's gift! Happy Herbal New Year to all!
