Here's a screenshot of our TV, showing the KXII Spillway Cam on Lake Texoma as it floods over the emergency spillway this morning. The 10-day forecast in my last post here has come true, and the daily wave of thunderstorms is not over yet. In fact, it's pouring rain as I type right now!
And, I just posted on LakeTexoma .com with links to new forecasting methods (via satellite and soil monitors) showing a startling projection that June and July 2015 will be very wet, too.
This is the 4th time in its history Lake Texoma has gone over the spillway since its completion in 1944, which was predicted to occur only once in 100 years. There are flash flood warnings across the entire watershed area of Texas and Oklahoma this morning, too.
Almost 3" of rain has fallen overnight, as of 8:00 am this morning, Memorial Day 2015.
So, I'm wondering if our little greenhouse will hold up much longer under the constant deluge...
Thank goodness it's doing its job today, and the box fan is moving air over the little plants during the storm. We have lost some, but 200 plants in 4" pots are growing well, in spite of the weather.
